Marcos Nazar Anchorena

He joined Navarro Castex Abogados in 2008, where he worked as a lawyer in the Department of Corporate and Company Law until 2010. After developing his professional activity in recognized law firms in Buenos Aires and as Director of Commercial Loyalty of the Secretariat of Domestic Trade (2017-2020), was appointed partner of the study in 2020, in charge of the Department of Competition Law.


Academic background

He graduated as a lawyer with a Diploma of Honor from the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires in 2008. In 2009 he completed an Update Program in Jurisprudence in the matter of Societies at the Foundation for Research and Development of Sciences Legal (“FIDAS”). In 2012 he completed the Master’s Degree in Law and Economics at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. In 2013 he completed his postgraduate studies at Chicago-Kent College of Law of the Illinois Institute of Technology (Chicago, Illinois, United States of America), in an international exchange program focused on Antitrust Law, Unfair Competition, Trademarks and Entertainment Law.

Professional Practice

His areas of specialization are Commercial and Business Law and Competition Law.

His professional work focuses on advising and representing national and international clients before the authorities, in corporate and governmental matters, contract negotiations, corporate reorganizations and complex litigation, with a special focus on competition law.

He has extensive experience in advising people and companies. He also advises partners, administrators and members of the corporate control bodies in matters of corporate conflict and strategies for its resolution, as well as branches and subsidiaries of companies incorporated abroad for the structuring of their businesses in the country, in the region and in various financing operations.

He participated in numerous mergers and acquisitions and negotiations of partner agreements, advising buyers and sellers in relation to transfers of shares and assets in Argentina and abroad.

Academic Activity

He is a professor of Commercial Law at the Law School of the University of Buenos Aires. He was a visiting professor at the Advanced Program for the Defense of Competition at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (2019) and at the Annual Diploma in Consumer Law and Defense of Competition at UCEMA (2020).



He has published the chapter “Protection against unfair competition” in the collective work “Unfair competition: Analysis of Decree 274/19” (Thomson Reuters, August 2019) and various articles in his specialty (unfair competition, advertising and defense of competition) in newspapers and specialized magazines.



He is a member of the Public Bar Association of the Federal Capital and the San Isidro Bar Association.
